The first chapter captivated me, I felt I was in Nina's mind, I felt her fear of the future, her strength to continue with the Gala despite the unknown aftermath. I felt her heart breaking for the man she loved, still loves. I admired her forward thinking of having an iron clad prenup, as well as her trusting nature when she disregarded the hype surrounding the outsider suspicions of her husband to be. There's very much a similarity in Nina, and the man she believed Connor to be.

We learn Connor married into money, and Nina met her untimely end, the mystery we're unravelling here, is what happened? Is Tabitha the small town, butter wouldn't melt woman, tied into the drama of an old flame she never got over? Was she responsible for Nina's untimely end? Did Connor truly marry for love or was money the end goal here?

I'm not sure how this one is going to play out, but I'm very keen to find out more.
