Before reading the synopsis or the excerpt, I thought the cover looked quite summery and wasn't too sure what to expect. After reading the synopsis I was quite excited to start reading the book, especially with the drama it promised and the Hamptons, a lovely place to set a summer story.

I found the story to be quite exciting, but the first few chapters did jump around a little too much for my personal preference, with Nina's diary entry, the announcement, Tabitha 13 years previous and Tabitha present day. I felt that it worked well for the story, but I was checking to see who was talking and when. I hope we get to see some of the story from Connor's perspective too, but I would imagine, given the first few chapters, this is unlikely, or we may only see small parts.

I think the concept of the story is quite good and the way it is being portrayed is quite interesting, but I didn't find it as gripping as I maybe would have liked. Hopefully this is just down to the jumping around of chapters and that it would settle the more I read. I would continue reading this (whether I received a free copy or not) just to see what happens as I really did like the synopsis of the plot!
