Opened well but didn't hold my attention
The opening of this book was really good and drew me in, unfortunately the rest of what I rad in this first impression was pretty bland and boring.
You could see the scene the author is trying to build, and it gives you a good sense of the story and what will probably happend but I found it hard to pay attention as lots of it seemed general and dull with normal teen dramas and quite a shallow seeming opening.
I got to the end of the first impression and had no real interest in what happened next, which is a shame because the opening couple of pages and blurb make it seem like the whole novel might be worth a read.
(it's also only available as an e-book, so no point in even trying to see if it turns things around on this occasion sadly)
