The opening pages set this book up to be an intriguing thriller but that soon turned into a romance story of sorts, the story of forbidden lovers. I didn’t mind this though as it allowed for character development in ways I’m guessing are important to the future plot. This character development drew me into the story too, meaning I wanted to continue exploring their story. I’m very intrigued to see how such a light romance could turn dark quickly.
