I have not read a Michelle Campbell book before so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got the chance to review this prior to its publication date. Overall I was not diaspointed and would happily pick up another book by Campbell in the future.

initially, the book appear to lack the detail needed to set the scene. The first diary entry introduces you the wife and her inner turmoil. Moving forward, the chapters jump through both past and present day to intrdouce you to the main characters and their personalities.

Set in modern day times bringing two classes together spectacularly, Campbell shows that with money comes drama and a thirst for revenge. Although well written with a plot line you won’t see coming, it is not the only murder cliche story of its time.

Around half way through the story, you start to lose a little detail and the chapters start to jump around a little. Parts of the story could have been developed more for the reader however, you start to understand why the book is written in this way as it progresses.

Overall, this is a gripping read that leaves you up until midnight lying to yourself that you will only read one more chapter!
