This book hooked me from the very first chapter! If I am honest, I was a little put off by the book cover but chose to ignore that and actually see what this was about and as the saying goes, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. I absolutely loved this! I loved the way the author really managed to change how I felt about the characters to make the story work. The lead character, Tabitha was likeable and had been handed a lot of turmoil through her life. At some points though I found myself wanting to tell her to shut up and I could really feel the frustration some of the characters around her had felt! Initially I had disliked another one of the main characters, Nina, but by the end of the book I really felt sorry for her. I felt a huge sense of satisfaction with how the story ended - whilst some may find it sad, I actually felt like certain people got their comeuppance and it wasn't made to be a 'happy ever after' ending.

I have chosen to only give this 4 stars though as I did find parts of the story far fetched. It is really difficult to explain without giving away too much. I also felt that some parts could do with a little more input and were glossed over, one chapter a character was in a cell and the next they were driving home with the police - I would have liked more of that explained prior to them driving back to the house. There was minimal explanation that the character was making a deal with the police, I would have liked to have been 'in' on the plan before it was executed.

You won't be disappointed though, all in all it was a really good read and I look forward to reading more from this author.
