I wasn’t too convinced to read this book but now I want to read more.
The book starts of with a Nina’s journal entry where she reveals that her second husband, Connor, is having an affair and due to their prenup she fears he may try to kill her. She plans on telling him that she knows about the affair but then she dies under suspicious circumstances.
Was it just a suicide? Or was it murder? If so who is to blame?
What is connor hiding? Who is lying and who is telling the truth?
The book then takes us to see Tabitha’s side of the story where she reconnects with her one true love who was Connor. You want it to be perfect and you want it to be pure but all the blame of Nina’s death falls at Tabitha’s feet as she has the most to gain. You convince yourself immediately there must be a twist. Tabitha seems to innocent to be involved in such a crime.
Overall this book is very engaging. I do recommend it!
