This just feels light and funny from the off. Who doesn’t love the idea that our frail and determined Queen is actually a crime solving sleuth in her spare time?! I mean, she must fill her time somehow - who is to say this isn’t factual? Playing on real relationships seems a touch on the risky side but I’d be interested to see how throughout the book how Bennett treads that line!
