Oh wow!! What a refreshing burst of cheer this first look brought me on a Monday morning.
I just love the zingy, informal yet poetic style of writing that I enjoyed this morning. I think that this is such a fabulous idea for a book! The writing kept me absolutely gripped, and the author's characterisation of Her Majesty and Philip is just superb - they are relatable yet recognisable as heads of state, at the same time feeling like much loved friends or family members.
As for the storyline...well, I already have a few theories in place, however I am desperate to read on to find out if I am right - I feel that not everything is as it seems, and that S.J Bennett has a few tricks and twists up her sleeve.
I am definitely going to be buying this book as soon as I can!
