I felt that this book introduced all the characters very quickly and without a lot of background. I will be interested to see if subsequent chapters provide some more depth. As the main characters are known to us all it will be important that they are not taken too far out of their context. Whilst this is a work of fiction it could become difficult to accept if the element of royalty is not used in a way that adds something believable to the book.
