I received a gifted copy of this book. Many thanks to Zaffre and Readers First for providing me with a hardback copy of this book to read and review.

The Windsor Knot is a cosy and charming mystery about Queen Elizabeth the second investigating and solving mysteries at Windsor Castle. The year is 2016 and preparation are underway for the Queens 90th birthday celebrations when a guest at Windsor castle is found dead while the Queen is in residence. Unhappy with the handling of the case by the authorities, her majesty decides to do her own secret investigation.

I really enjoyed reading The Windsor knot and thought it was a fun read. I liked S.J. Bennett’s style of writing and enjoyed the multiple points of view used in the book. At times I found the book a little unevenly paced, however, this didn’t detract from the enjoyability of this witty and charming book.
