I've had this one sat on my shelf for a very long time and hadn't had the urge to pick it up. With the passing of the Queen, now seemed as good a time as any. What a fun read! Her Maj is just fantastic in this and it gave me all the cosy crime vibes which made it such a lovely comforting read. I loved her relationship with her assistant. It was excellent - so warm. I absolutely adored how her corgis played a part too. This was fantastic and I've already recommended it to multiple friends who have now picked it up. It was everything I wanted it to be and more and I've since read the next instalment in the series and have the latest instalment through NetGalley. Love this reimagining of our Queen. It's been nice seeing the fun stories that have come out of the Queen since her passing - to the point that this tale actually feels like something that could have happened!
