Well, I spent a lovely few hours in the company of Her Majesty the Queen, whilst she sleuthed her way around Windsor palace.

Before even beginning, the dust cover and inside pattern of this book are lovely, making it feel quite special and enticing you in to read.

I loved the idea of the Queen investigating a murder and being all Miss Marple like. It's quite a gentle read, considering it's a murder mystery and would appeal to those who like Agatha Christie style stories.

I would have loved to have given it a five star rating, but sadly for me, at times I got a little bit lost and confused with both the story and the characters. It's charm however still allows for a solid four.

I can't help wondering what the Queen would make of it, here's hoping she gets a copy for Christmas.

I'd be more than happy to read further stories of the Queen's sleuthing, if there are follow up books.
