Queen Elizabeth II leads a double life in this novel, as she solves crimes alongside her royal duties. While at Windsor castle in advance to her 90th birthday celebrations, one of the guests are found dead in one of the bedrooms. Initially it seems like a planned suicide by hanging, until suspicions arise of murder due to the badly tied knot. The police and MI5 begin investigating, and turn their fingers to the Queen's own staff. The Queen of course is not convinced, and decides to take matters into her own hands with the help of her private secretary Rozie.
I must say it is quite a unique story line and I absolutely loved it, especially as a Londoner myself!! I kept wanting to read on to see what happens next. The cover is really cool, and I'm glad that my excitement to read the novel was fulfilled. I also am a fan of the humour in the novel, and believe that it turned out to be a great start of the series!
