The idea behind this book is amazing. Loved how the charters were brought to life and the little everyday bits of the Queen. Loved the inclusion of the corgis.
This book is about a murder at Windsor Castle and one of the people involved in the investigation is Her Majesty the Queen. She releases the official investigation is going in the wrong direction and works at finding out the truth about the murder. Throughout the book more mysteries are revealed and pieces put together by the Queen and her secretary. While dealing with the everyday activities that come with being the Queen. I like the way it keeps you guessing, too many mystery books reveal the 'Who Did It?' way to early but Bennett keeps the secret till the end. Some parts feel dragged out slightly and a few of the characters you want to hit, but overall it is a great read if you want to spend the day just enjoying a book.
