First of all, I am going to start with the cover. It’s probably what attracted me first to this book as it isn’t something (this style genre) that I have attempted to read before. The striking red and the mixture between formal ness and comical elements made this look like it would be a lot of fun. The second aspect that made me want to read this book was ghat Windsor is a local area of mine so it was interesting to read about something that I see in passing quite a lot.
Now, onto the book. I wouldn’t say it was unputdownable as some books are but I would say it entertained me enough to want to read it. The characters were engaging, I found the character of the Queen quite ‘real’ but likeable and relatable at the same time! It didn’t make me laugh out loud but at the same time it was nice to have the odd elements of comedy scattered in amongst the murder!
