I was more than a little excited to try this, what a really great idea for the queen with her observant mind to be a detective. I did have slight reservations as to whether the premise would work, but I am pleased to say that it did with bells on. The author covered every angle that might have been a problem, with her main helper Rosie being a superb character. Detective novels sometimes have too many characters for the reader to focus on and the narrative can get a little bogged down with the spiders web of a story. I must admit to being a little worried after the first few chapters but apizza just as I was beginning to worry about my inept mind the plot soon fell into a very entertaining trot. I really hope that she gains similar reviews as some readers may be put off, however I am sure there are lots of adventurous readers out there that will enjoy this newly found (if slightly) different detective as much as I did.
