My husband says I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading The Windsor Knot so he wants to read it now as well.
An endearing tale about HRH and her assistant, Rozie, investigating the murder of a young Russian musician during a 'dine and sleep' at Windsor Castle just before the Queens 90th birthday. The plot was rather contrived but I loved the narrative and the familiar touches. The relationship between the Queen and Philip and the other members of her family, visiting dignitaries and celebrities were lovely and, I would, like to think, true to how I imagine they are in real life.
I think the Queen would enjoy reading this book and I hope she gets a chance to do so. her love of horses and Corgis comes across as well as her astuteness and sense of humour.
The sequel is already planned for later this year and I, for one, will definitely be reading it.
