The Windsor Knot follows a story where Queen Elizabeth II secretly solves crimes while carrying out her royal duties.
I thought this premise was quite interesting and unique. I liked the writing style, it was easy to follow even with the several perspectives that we get to read from, and also funny and witty at times.
I found that the characters felt real and genuine and really enjoyed reading this novel.
However, I didn't love the mystery itself very much. The reveal at the end felt a bit abrupt to me and I didn't like the way to was told. But I liked how the mystery had progressed throughout the novel before that, especially the investigative elements throughout the story
Overall, I found this novel to be a really unique and funny, and lovely read. I'm interested in seeing more from this author as I really liked their writing style and I'm interested to see what they do with the next novel in this series.
