when i read the initial extract i thought i would really enjoy this story. and it was ok i enjoyed the general story but i found it quite boring and repetitive after the first few chapters i found that some characters were quite one dimensional and they did not really fit with the general plot of the story. though i did enjoy the fact that it centered around the queen
the plot followed that of a common murder mystery with the added twist of royalty but. the story seemed very childish both in the plot and in the style of writing.
that is not to say that i did not enjoy it as it had some surprises that i was shocked. and i did enjoy the ease at which i read it. and i liked the premise of the story of a crime-fighting queen. and i will be reading. the follow-up books in the series.
