I absolutely loved this book. The whole concept of the story is fantastic, a crime solving Queen. It is beautifully written with well rounded characters, and just enough factual places and events to make the whole story seem totally believable. It has a very comedic feel to it although it is not strictly a comedy book.
The whole idea of a murder at Windsor castle during a dine and sleep event with the Queen in attendance is really clever. The writing style just flows easily and it is such an easy read book I finished it in a couple of days as I was so gripped I couldn't put it down.
The plot that the Queen has special people to turn to who over the years have helped her solve crimes is brilliant. She sets about solving the murder of the young Russian because she is not happy with the security services conclusions and knows they are wrong in their assumptions and she must solve the murder and point them in the right direction.
Everybody should read this book.
