I was really excited to read this book when it first came out. The books premise takes a fresh twist on the 'who done it' novel and is clearly very well researched when referencing different points in history and character names and backgrounds.

I really wanted to dive head first into this book and love it and although it was a relatively easy book to get in to, the plot seemed to drag on for a quite a while with little suspense being built up as to who the culprit was. I was hoping for a little more tension and clues to make me really guess who the murderer was but I was left feeling ever so slightly flat.

The book did have a couple of spelling and grammatical errors which seemed to drag me out of the story every so often.

Overall, there was good character building and scene setting but this seemed to go on for a little too long without any suspense. An easy read but not one I would be reaching for again too soon.
