I wasn't completely certain whether I would like this book when I first started reading it. I figured it would either be a book I really enjoyed or a book that I probably wouldn't at all. Having finished it, I did really enjoy it. It really draws you in to feeling like you're there with the royal family and in amongst all the comings and goings. I really liked the idea of the queen being a secret detective who was a super sleuth at solving all these crimes, and I thought it was very clever how she dropped the hints here and there for the real police force/security services to work it out for themselves without suspecting her at all.
I was excited to hear this is only the first book in a potential series and I will definitely be looking forward to reading the next one. Having read the snippet in the back that introduces the next story, it also sounds like a really good read.
