I loved this book. The Queen as a detective is certainly different!
A Russian musician is murdered during a dine and sleep at Windsor Castle. Despite her staff trying to protect her the Queen is determined to find out what happened. Along with Rozie her new AFS the queen sets out to solve the murder. Much to Rozies for pride it appears that the Queen has been solving mysteries since she was a child.
SJ Bennett is respectful but not afraid to speculate how the Queen may think and react. I did find the continuous use of one ( the Queen referring to herself) wearing. The insight into the workings of Windsor Castle is Interesting.
The humour is gentle and well honed . Rozie is a well drawn character. A new employee getting used to working for royalty having to cope with helping The Boss solve a murder!
I hope there are more books to come in this series.
