The Windsor Knot is a really amusing and charming read. The title caught my attention; a clever play on words which sets the tone for the story. I really enjoyed the light hearted nature of much of the book and the many little insider references and jokes which were scattered throughout. The idea of the Queen taking on the role of detective was quirky and fun and was very different to my usual choice for crime related literature. I would most definitely recommend The Windsor Knot as a splendid mixture of good old fashioned British humour with a captivating mystery in an easy to get into read. The cover is nicely designed and uncluttered so should help it stand out amongst others on the shelves. This is a book for a giggle and some nice escapism as the darker nights take hold and winter draws in. I would be keen to read more books on a similar theme
