This was a really quirky murder mystery.
A lot of fun having the Queen turning detective.
When she lays on a "sleep and dine" at Windsor castle it ends in murder when a musician by the name of Maksim Brodsky hired for the night was is found dead the next morning.
Shocked and distraught that this happened during one of her events she sets out to investigate along with her erstwhile sidekick in the shape of her secretary Rozie.
Doing her best to help the police before the scandal really breaks they are racing against time in case they are planning further mischief.
This was so unusual, I have read lots of murder mysteries but this is the first time I have read one with the queen in the hot seat as the detective!
A good story, inventive plot and characterization and just and all round good read.
Definitely one for the "cozy mystery" fans out there.
