I was intrigued by the sound of this book and really liked the striking design of the cover, the detail inside adds a real feel of quality to the book itself. I found A Windsor Knot a really entertaining read, the thought of the Queen talking to her staff and to Philip about normal things with humour and quick wit as if she was ‘one of us’ was really amusing. Set years ago when David Cameron was prime minister there are none of the worries of the current time and it’s a light-hearted read. I loved the way The Queen interacts with her aides and I spent a lot of time thinking what it must be like to work for her and how she would interact with them in real life. The references to things that have happened in real life or in the royal family are acknowledged with humour and it feels like you get a glimpse behind the scenes of what it could be like at Windsor Castle, or at least what I’d like it to be like! A fun read!
