I want to start by saying I loved the style of writing, I found it very easy and enjoyable to read. However, I didn't enjoy the actual story. I thought that a lot of the characterss were introduced that didn't really end up playing much of a part. I also thought that the solving of the mystery actually took a back seat, which isn't what I expected or wanted from this genre of book.
It's not necassarily that the daily life of the Queen, which seems to be what the book focuses on, couldn't be interesting, but just not what the book was advertised as. I think it would work better as a chick lit genre as it had more of that feel to me or really needs more focus on the Queen solving the crime. Because I actually thought that this was a really original idea and was really excited to see how this could be played out.
