I really enjoyed reading the first few chapters of this novel even though it's not what I would usually read I felt really connected to Veronica and her story. The cover hadn't really given anything away in terms of context so it was nice to dive straight in and see what the novel was about without any influence. Just from this taster, the only thing I wasn't sure of was the unpublished book excerpts as I found it took me away from the story.
