I have seen the film Made in Dagenham about the women's strike at the Ford plant in the 1960s and I absolutely loved the film. This book takes us back to that era of the sixties and I was hooked from the start. I am a huge fan of Stephanie Butland, having loved two of her previous novels, Lost for Words and Ailsa Rae. I can't decide if I like the cover as it looks more like a non-fiction book rather than a fiction novel and it would therefore probably have by-passed me if I hadn't recognised the author's name.
