The first few chapters of this book have got me hooked; the prose flows beautifully from the present day to the past, and the main protagonist Vee is already coming to life in my minds eye!
Even though the book is set in the 1960s it’s feminist and political themes are so relevant; mirroring our current social climate and making the novel feel poignant.
I am so intrigued to read more about Vee’s life and her impact on the feminist movement. Butland’s novel has the potential to be a bestseller; I can feel it!
