This was an OK beginning but not amazing. From the synopsis it looks as if this is a book that will jump between the past and the present following the main character when she is young and then when she is older and more reclusive. There were some interesting passages about photography and also it was interesting to read about feminism in that era and the attitudes of men so if you are interested in the history of feminism.
