I am always attracted by book covers first and foremost and I really love the over-exposed look of this front cover and the simple type face.
I definitely feel like I want to read more of this story, the characters feel so well drawn and their voices are so authentic I imagine of the time. Particularly Vee's voice, it's like you can hear her brain trying to process the change that's happening to women at that point in time and how this can affect the whole of the rest of her life. Her photography would capture a time and a movement and she would have a place in that particular moment in time.
The writing is akin to that of Jessie Burton and Kate Atkinson, both of which I am huge fans, so I would love to continue with this story.
