Another very different but accomplished novel by Stephanie Butland. For once, I totally agree with the blurb 'a spell breaking novel to change the way you see the world'. The First Impression set in 1968 is nostalgic for those who lived at the time and a wonderfully accurate bit of context setting social history for those who didn't.
I expect to love this book as much as her 2 previous novels.
