The Woman in the Photograph is the sort of book that catches my eye immediately. First of all, that cover is so beautiful and full of suggestion.
My first impression of the text is even more favourable. The first chapter has me desperate to know more, and we then move onto some information about the photograph itself. I love this device in books - the use of reports, research etc makes it so interesting.
Then we move into the story proper and I love the social history aspect of it, the picket lines, the 60s setting. I can't wait to read the rest of this amazing sounding book.
