This beautifully told and feministic tale showcases the life of Veronica Hope as she grows into a powerful and strong willed woman. The historical references were remarkably in depth and accurate, encouraging me to do some reading of my own into this exciting period in feminist history.
The writing style was descriptive, emotional and raw in places too. I felt as though I went on a journey with this book, it really brought it home to me how lucky I am to live as a woman in todays society, and also made me think about how far we still have to go. I think anyone (male or female) could learn a lot from this book and even though it wouldn't have been something I would have bought myself, I'm so glad i had the opportunity to read it!
