For someone who has quite an interest in photography this initially perked my interest from that side of things instead of what you might expect, in that it's supposed to be an empowering book for women. This spark of interest continued to increase through the incredible storytelling of Stephanie Butland. I found myself constantly unsure where I was reading fiction or somebodies real memoir. Structured in such a way that follows key photography term (obviously something I loved about this book), the story follows seemingly normal Veronica in her typical 60s life as she goes about her slightly more controversial job as a female photographer to eventually meet Leonie. This story is indeeding empowering, thought provoking and something of a start for a lesson to be learnt. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
