Normally I would send a paper back to the charity shop after reading it, but this book I couldn't give away. This gives you some idea of my love for this book.
Well, it was happy, sad, inspiring and thought provoking.
The two central characters had such strong personalities, it was difficult not to be in awe of them. Vee was so innocent and nieve to Leonie's worldly wise nature. Somehow they just seemed to fit together. Leonie changed Vee's life, something that Vee was probably forever grateful.
The writing was marvellous. It was like being in the middle of a huge adventure. The way the author brought the characters to life was fantastic.
Ultimately it was sad. All things must come to an end and this tale did. All that life and vibrancy withered with time.
It was a book that I shall always remember and I would recommend to anyone.
