love the fact that this book was set during the time period of the first wave of feminism! i have never read a book on this topic before. overall i love books with dual timelines so this was perfect for me! plus it included lots of discription which i think aided this book alot as you truly felt like you know what was going on!
The book follows veronica moon who was known as Vee, who works on a newspaper which is normally a very male focussed profession. in her role she is given mundane tasks but this changes one day when she goes to Dagenham to work on a group of females striking for equal pay. In which she meets Leonie who becomes the lady in her most famous photograph.
overall i would say this is a solid four star read for me! loved the book and would recommend it to anyone interested in reading about historical fiction and especially first wave feminism.
