Now, I am a huge fan of Stephanie Butland and her writing style. I absolutely adored Lost for Words and The Curious Heart of Ailsa Rae is one of my favourite books ever, so I couldn't wait to read this one. I had read the book synopsis and the First Impression extract on the Readers First website a month or so ago, and I knew that I would really enjoy this book just from that. It was such an interesting idea that had be hooked from that very first moment. The line in the synopsis that reads "An empowering, feminist and moving novel that will change the way you see the world" could not be more true. It really was an empowering book that makes you think and it was very moving. I cannot recommend this enough.
