It wasn’t my favourite - the title of my review says it all really. I’ve loved and read both of Stephanie Portland’s novels that have been put on here. Both of them left me in tears, engaged me and j fell in love with the characters. The front covers also had that same familiar pattern. This one had a different writing style though. The front cover didn’t have any resemblance to the other two and I really couldn’t get into the main character. I think perhaps the feminine angle of it and the old-fashioned setting just isn’t my type of thing which is a shame. I couldn’t even get pass the opening couple of chapters so unfortunately this one wasn’t one my favourites. Wouldn’t stop me reading another one though
