The book is very well written and contains really likeable and interesting characters. The book alternates with the main character Veronica Moon, in the 1960s, 70s and 80s exploring her passion for photography and the new found concept of women’s liberation and present day Victoria Moon and Erica. The book is about the story of a woman once in the spotlight telling her story from her own perspective. We get the full story gradually and by flitting between the past and the present. Erica wants to exhibit some of Veronica’s works however Veronica is reluctant to step back into the spotlightI found it interesting found out about the different types of feminism and the progression of women’s liberation of the 1960s to the MeToo movement in 2018. I enjoyed reading the real life snippets of facts we got with the beginning of each new part concerning the relevant history of time. It helped to contextualise the story and the book remained widely focused on the lives of Veronica, Erica and Leonie.
