This is a brilliant book, totally thought provoking.
I loved the two main characters Vee and Leonie and their friendship from their first encounter at the Ford Dagenham strike of 1968. With Vee so desperate to find who she is and what she really wants from life, you get a real sense of Leonie's powerful, strong personality and how her and Vee were so totally different yet they gelled so well.
This book really makes you stop and think about issues faced by women in every day life and work and the struggles they had just to be heard and just how much women's rights have progressed so far in the present day. This book makes you so thankful for the women who stood up and fought for our rights. A brilliant book that I just couldn't put down.
