I won't lie, the prologue really had me excited that this book might be a wlw read. Reading from Kate's perspective makes me realize what a take charge kind of person she is and I am suitably impressed by her vigor. I do feel bad that she is not currently in a relationship with someone who will match that energy despite her effort. I want to see the progression of her character beyond this relationship mishap and how the role of cooking will help draw her from this slump. The writing is wonderfully descriptive and its content light-hearted enough that I believe this will be a relaxing read to devote time to.
