I thoroughly enjoyed this first impression. The opening chapters may not get in to main thrust of the story, as described by the publisher's blurb, but it certainly gives you a wonderful introduction to Kate, our main character. Maybe it helps that she is so easy to identify with - loves food and reading (what else is there in life!).
