Kate is looking forward to moving in with Nick once they return from a holiday in France. These plans are forever fractured when Nick asks her to postpone moving in with him as he is unsure that this is now the right thing for him. Kate is devastated and begins to re-evaluate what she wants from her life and as part of this process she begins to visit Cecily a acerbic 97 year old not renowned for her ability to mix well with others. As this relationship develops over a shared love of food Kate begins to learn a lot from Cecily about life in general and most importantly what a woman should want out of her life and how to go about getting it.
