The storyline presented is one that has been done many times before so it will be interesting to see how the author develops it and puts her own spin on it - hopefully adding some twists.
A lot happened in the first couple of chapters with a great deal of narration and little character development. We are introduced to lots of aspects of the main characters' past and I can assume these will be developed later in the story. What is Nick's unconventional background? What makes him act the way he does?
The book was easy to read and I would be interested to see what happens, although first impressions show stereotypical characters in a stereotypical situation.
