This is another of those books written just before a landmark birthday when someone has a realisation and transforms their lives. The start of this book is utterly frustrating. It's like the situation so many people have been in themselves or someone they care about has where they're holding onto a relationship that isn't right for them because they're worried about what a future will look like on their own. I get that being on your own is scary, but is it really worse than being in an unhappy relationship?

That being said, I like the older woman in the book. She sounds like she knows exactly the right htings to say and isn't afraid of speaking her mind. She makes it worth continuing to read the book!
