Although the synopsis sounded very engaging and I was really taken by the idea of an old recipe book connecting and opening up the worlds of the protagonists the FI rapidly changed my mind! This, I suspect, is due to my loathing of cookery - if it doesn’t go in the microwave then it’s too time consuming for me to consider.
And to be honest at just over 450 pages I am not quite sure the plot is substantial enough to keep the dry wit coming.
