I was drawn to this book because of the cover, which seemed incredibly inviting and colourful. I am not one to like this genre of fiction usually, but within a very short time, I found myself invested in the rich and compelling story. It is an interesting premise and one rarely explored. Yet I will certainly be buying this book when it comes out so that I can find out what happens. Few writers really take the time to explore the dynamics of inter-generational relationships apart from within the family.
The characters are credible and multi-dimensional. I predict this will do as well as Eleanor Oliphant. I am sure that this is the perfect book to take on holiday and read on a sun-lounger in the South of France.
